That will work for “west” (with some key clicking (: )

but I still need something to do “east”. I suppose it doesn’t matter if
the lines are exactly the same length, but it would be nice.

This seems like sucha no-brainer. Every mount I’ve owned that has drives
has a setting that allows the user to turn the drives off in one
direction, and go 2x sidereal in the other…

I might get to that point and then shim the polar scope to get it
closer. At this point, it’s no better than sighting through the bore hole.
