The new 13” mirror is only 1” thick.

By my estimate, this means the mirror weighs something like 11, maybe 12 pounds. That’s only twice the weight of Veronica’s mirror. That means that if I can stay fairly lightweight on the frame, I should be able to coast this thing in under 25#.

At that point, I’m about the same weight as Veronica, so add the normal amount for the guidescope and plates and things, and the mount should handle it just fine. It will be maybe a touch heavier, but this is all
assuming big huge 2” tubes and 3 tubes instead of 2 and 5/8” ply and basically a really beefy build.

So some weight reduction could make it even lighter.
