I put in some temporary “tubes” so I could check the focal length of the telescope. The varnished pieces look really cool.
I was not really prepared for how big the scope is going to be.
I put some new photos up of the pretty varnish, large scope, and “first light” — I took a photo of a radio tower several miles away, and took some photos with a telephoto lens for scale reference.
Cut tubes, install mounting plates, and I’m done!
