A,
I’m continually irritated at the S&T galleries which are festooned with
guys with $50K setups; this doesn’t really make it feel like taking
astrophotos is something that can be accomplished by a “true” amateur
from the suburban backyard.
Then I see the Feb issue, pp 85, which is a full-page love-fest to the
Pleiades, taken by some guy with a AP 7” / Apogee 16M. Sure, it’s a nice
image, but it’s no better than any number of other Pleiades shots I’ve
seen; he captured about the same amount of nebulosity that you did in
your latest attempt.
pfft. Some dude with a DSLR and an ED80 could have done just as well.
Stupid S&T.
