I’ve been “busy doing other things” this summer, so I haven’t really spent much time under the stars.

After the “one rainy day” in late August, it was HOT and sunny (and clear at night) for a couple weeks straight.

Then, about a week or 10 days ago, it started doing the “transition” cycle that I know so well from CA; a few days of clear (or cloudy in the morning, clearing by afternoon, clear for a little while after dark, then clouding up before morning again), followed by a few days of rain, followed by more clear again.

I can feel the sets of clear nights getting smaller in length. But there’s still nights where astronomy is possible. I still wonder about clear, cold nights in the dead of winter.

For now, I’m just noting the weather and moving on to those other things that I was doing.
