After a couple weeks of fairly clear weather (that is, without any measurable precipitation), it rained on Monday afternoon, and was cloudy all night.
It was clear again by Tuesday night, and will be very hot today.
Just like autumn in CA, I expect that there will be several runs of clear nights in between the rainstorms before the winter rains fill into solid weeks of clouds.
For now, I’m pretty certain that “summer” is over, and it’s just chasing the sky until “spring”.
The window of astronomy in WA is definitely pretty short. I wonder if there will be a few clear nights during the winter when it gets real cold.
