The astronomy gods are doing their “New Telescope Curse” thing. To the plants and flowers, you’re welcome. To the soggy inhabitants of the SF Bay Area, I told you so. (:

After an abnormally clear weekend (I think they let me up off the mat so that I could confirm everything is working OK, and I am grateful for that), in came the rain on Monday, and it hasn’t let up for 3 days. Without that initial shakedown, I would be going bonkers, wondering if everything is OK with 4026, but now that I know how good the mount is, I can suffer all the rain that the sky wants to bring.

Like a predator waiting for the sick and injured prey to tire, I know that summer is coming, and with it, clear skies that come in stretches measured in weeks.

April showers bring May flowers, until the dog days of summer chase them away.

So rain all you want, astronomy gods. I deserve it. 4026 and I will be right here.
