I picked up a Field Flattener (which also happens to be a 0.8x focal reducer, which I didn’t necessarily need) for Pumpkin soon after getting the scope. The performance was a little less than exemplary at first. But, what with one thing and another, I didn’t really get around to messing with it.

I recently changed out my T-ring Ha filter for a clip-in Ha filter that, among other things, has the benefit of not adding length to the image train.

I was really testing something else (unguided performance with the teeny scope), but I noticed that the corners of the image looked a little nicer than usual, so I decided to do a full-zoom crop from each corner.

OK, the picture is a little noisy. But those stars are remarkably round! There’s a small amount of vignetting, too, but really nothing to complain about, here. I think the FF/FR is working great!
