Went out to dinner with coworkers last night. Went to a restaurant that is in a village on the outskirts of Algeciras. Not many people live around here anyway, and even fewer live out there. Wow, the skies are dark. I could clearly see the Milky Way from Cygnus to Casseiopeia near zenith, and The Little Dipper was showing 3 stars in the bowl with averted imagination. That’s nearly mag 4 skies from a brightly-lit parking lot with essentially no dark adaptation.

I could not see M31 naked-eye, but I bet I could have if I’d been away from the lights.

Nice.

The Summer Triangle is still pretty high in the sky early in the evening, and Pegasus is definitely all the way up in the east.

Ready to go home now.
