I decided to try the C9.25 instead of Pumpkin to do my PE testing.
With a much longer focal length, I thought that would give me more accuracy in the tracking data.

It certainly amplified the noise.

I decided to take a break and spend tonight looking at a different squiggly line; I booted PEMpro (trial version) and used it to refine my polar alignment.

I have always sucked at polar alignment.

The Gemini claims to be about A:14′ E:4′ or so.

I spent some time getting PemPro to start up, but once I got the hang of it, it seems fine.

As usual, however, adjusting Az changes El and vice versa. I have no reason to believe the mount isn’t level. Ditto orthogonal. So what gives?

shrug.

Let’s see what the Gemini says about my alignment after I do 2 rounds of adjustment…
