I’ve had a busy time doing maintenance while it’s been cloudy for the past couple of months.

I re-greased the RA axis of the mount.
I built a lightbox for taking flat field frames.
I bought a C9.25 for high-magnification photos of the spring galaxies.
I tailed all the wires around the mount so there’s no more rat’s nest (for now).
I moved the Dell D810 laptop out to the observatory to run the show.
I configured the Dell D400 netbook to do remote login so I can control the scope from the couch.
I got FocusMax working on one of the rare clear nights we’ve had.

And now I’ve added a blog to the website.

It’s my intention to gather all the data I’ve collected over the years into one place, so that I can sort it, etc. Hopefully, this will become the forum for that.

And as always, there is more data being gathered and more photos to post and admire, so watch this space for that, too.

Keep looking up,
Jimbo
