I also collected all of the ATM photos into one place. I need to crop and resize, but I’ll have a decent record of the process. I’ve really enjoyed it.
It makes me want to buy a big mirror and build myself a Dob, but I don’t know if I’m ready to build a Dob base.
One of the reasons that this design has been such a success for me is that it doesn’t require any “box-building” skills, making it easier for a beginner to handle.
I have decided that an 18” f/4.5 is essentially the perfect size scope — the mirror is not so gigantic that it needs 2 people to handle it, and the eyepiece height at zenith is very manageable (maybe I’d need a kitchen stepstool).
