Apparently, the translation of “capella” as “she-goat”/”little she-goat” may
not be that far off. “Caper” is Latin for “he-goat”. This is also the root

of the English word “caper” as in “dancing around” – thought to reflect the
prancing of a goat.

Its certainly not the first time that a word has developed multiple meanings
over the millenia.

So yes, you should be miffed at yourself for being miffed. (Heh!)

Which one is appropriate for the star? Certainly up for debate.

Oh, and apparently the Latin name for the constellation is Auriga – “Rising
in the Rainy Season”. Do goats swim?
