An example of serendipity.
I was trying to find this nebula, was using GOTO (on the CG-5GT), couldn’t be sure I had it, so I only shot one frame of it. Turns out I was dead on.
Lesson learned. By the time the Rosette comes around this winter, I won’t need GOTO to find it, and I’ll know to keep shooting in the dark at the star cluster in the center of the photo.
A new nemesis. Wonderful.
