The $50 charge is for the difference of grinding the back or front flat.
There is a difference of $54 between the pre-generated F/5 and the flat yes.

Correct, the included quote is as flat as it comes out of the oven.

Actually, if you place the order today, you and expect to recieve the
blank in 3-4 weeks. This depends primarily on the the oven, and secondly
on the grinding tables. But we are in the process of completing our
second grinding table exactly to free up the roughing table.

The timeline for the fall is for me to build up my own inventory. But as
I explained, if you order now you will recieve the blank way before the
fall. I just haven’t yet been able to take the time to build up my

regular inventory yet.
