I haven’t seen any stars in several days now. The new moon brought in the cloud cover, and it’s hung around.

During the day, the marine layer burns off, but as soon as the temperature starts dropping, it comes right back.

Yesterday, I worked on balance a bit, The scope really balances weird. Always has.

I set up the scope to be able to be heavy to the east, but with the CW in a different position.

I also removed the DSCH encoders and replaced them with the spacers I’d bought last summer. Looks cleaner, and I think the encoders might have been causing some extra friction.

Other than that, a little cleaning of the observatory was all I got done. I’m waiting for my worm block and OAG to show up so I can do some more work out there.

I could sure use some clear sky, though.
