… were the only two stars I could see tonight. It’s been a blustery day punctuated with strong showers, and the wind has opened just a tiny seam in the cloud cover, that I can see them through.
The air smells clean, it’s springtime.
But not a night for astronomy.
Although probably as close to zenith as they get, they are over the house and trees from the observatory; I look for targets rising in the east, as they go straight through my darkest sky. There, I did astronomy.
