…at Ad Astra Observatory.
The new mount showed up in 3 hefty boxes from FedEx and USPS yesterday.
Here’s the very large and heavy NJP head.
The signed certificate from the factory (NJP #4026! w00t!)
The gorgeous and very burly fixed-height wooden tripod (I think this is the J-M).
The three 6.5kg counterweights. These are threaded, so no external bolts.
The head, very odd little hand controller, and the Pelican case containing the 110VAC to 24VDC power supply.
The threaded counterweight shaft (with “beer can” extension), and the set of manuals and software that came with the mount.
Manuals for both the mount and the GOTO system. Neither is particularly full of useful information; the internet is going to have to step up to help me figure this mount out.
Pegasus is the Temma driver for PC. I have not figured out what the “update” version of TheSky means to me.
Now it’s time to start hooking everything up!
