It’s been awhile since I did any star trails photography. It’s pretty simple — camera, tripod, point it at your target, and let it rip.
I figured this would make a handsome subject, though — the dome rotating (automatically, of course), the stars wheeling… So I got the rig set up, and this is what came out.

These are unmodified frames; I could probably do some stretching, &c. to make them a little nicer. But, overall, I think I like this effect.
I will try this again in the future.
