The bubbles on the mount say it’s level, although I can certainly check
this again. I did have to re-level the pier when I went from the old
G-11 to this one — it’s possible that the bubble levels aren’t seated
in the mount properly…

The mount is not slipping in elevation nor azimuth. I have cranked the
clutches as tight as they will go.
I admit that I haven’t field-stripped the mount and de/re-greased it,
nor have I tweaked the worm adjustments at all.
I am slightly worried about the mounting rings, but these are the same
rings that I used on the previous G-11 and those worked fine.
I should probably have held onto the old G-11 and moved over the motors.
That was a known-good mount. This one was dumped by its original owner
for being a lemon (although that turned out to be a cable). Nobody has
yet proven that this mount is tuned properly.
Not to mention I’m still a newbie at getting it working.
