A,
Per our conversation, here is what I’m going to try:
1) Get mount to CWD position and with no pointing model
2) cold start
3) synch on one star (near meridian)
4) Polar Align Assist, choose second star near horizon
5) press “menu” to bounce to horizon star
6) use *handpaddle only* to center horizon star
7) press “menu” to bounce to meridian star
8) use *mechanical mount movements only* to center meridian star
9) repeat 5 – 9 until both stars remain centered without adjustments
10) quit Polar Align Assist, build pointing model
11) at the end of the night, park the mount, warm restart at startup
No use of Polar Axis Correction.
Right?
