Ad Astra Observatory

I bought a WO FF/FR for Pumpking, but I still need to figure out how to tune it. It’s still not quite right. Can’t use it as a widefield lens if the field is curved. I need to get the calipers out and start taking measurements. I think the spacing is critical. I might need some spacers in the rig or something.

I also wonder if the AT66ED and the WO66ED are really the exact same prescription. I’m betting it’s the exact same glass; there are only so many manufacturers who could be making the FPL-75 ED doublets. I assume
that it’s the same supplier who’s giving Synta the ED80, etc. glass.

But I am putting a WO flattener on a AT scope. Makes me worry a little.

Not enough to trade out. Yet. I like the Orange.
